Intro to Yoga: A class for anyone wanting to start practicing yoga asana (postures). Classes will include learning posture names, basic sequences and alignment in postures, and breathing techniques. A more relaxed approach to learning yoga where questions will be invited and made part of the class.
Basics: Where the connection begins. The connection between mind and body and breath. Step in the door and step into your true nature. Our expert instructors will take you through a well-rounded practice with a heavy emphasis on safety and modifications for each person. Leave your fears behind and welcome the beginning of something bountiful.
Restorative: A practice that promotes deep healing to the nervous system. Through supported floor postures you will release toxins, breathe easier and sleep better. For our stressed out modern day living this is “must- have” information and techniques. Your immune system will recover and life will feel restored again.
Slow Flow: A journey through mindful movement with an deliberately slower rhythm. Emphasizing the importance of the breath to transform your spirit, this is one of our signature classes. Move with fluidity and grace to find your personal practice.
Stretch & Restore: Adding to all of the benefits of a restorative yoga practice, this class is enhanced with deep stretching to begin. You’ll be guided through a process that lengthens the muscles first-to release tension, and then incorporate the healing aspects of quieting the mind.
Yin: A gentle practice consisting of passive seated postures with long holds (3 mins and up). The focus is on the deeper layers of the body, connective tissue and the joints, allowing for the release of deep-rooted toxins and an increased flow of prana.
YinYasa: Combining the aspects of Yin and Yang to bring overall balance to the mind, body and spirit. Starting with Yin to open the body and relax the mind, then heading into a gentle flow to facilitate toxin release and prana movement. Pranayama techniques are a primary focus.
Yoga Nidra: Translated as “Yogic Sleep”, Yoga Nidra is a practice of guided meditation that uses a full integration of breath, body and mind. From a supine position with the eyes closed we work towards the release of deeply held emotions and tensions in the body; helping to create the vibrant, happy and empowered life we all deserve.
+Level 1-2: Explore a wider variety of poses with less “flow” or “vinyasa”. Through intelligent sequencing you’ll learn how to modify when you need to, creating your own personal practice, while building strength, stamina and flexibility through energetic alignment.
+Bhakti Flow: Bhakti Flow is a devotional and dynamic practice merging Hatha and Bhakti (gratitude, open-heartedness, compassion) Yoga. Each instructor is encouraged to bring forth their own creative expression through a wide range of yogic tools and techniques, including a challenging physical practice, pranayama, guided meditation, chanting and Aroma Therapy. Release the ties that bind you and find new levels of freedom through self-acceptance, self-expression and self-love! All are welcome, although prior knowledge of Surya Namaskara A is highly recommended.
+Core Yoga: Using traditional yoga poses this class will focus on building core strength (all four sides of the torso). A strong core supports a supple spine and creates more internal body awareness. Knowledge of Surya Namaskara A and B highly recommended!
+Vinyasa: With a more flowing style this class will challenge the mind and body through dynamic standing sequences, while maintaining the connection of the two through the breath. Movement following the breath is the Vinyasa way. Knowledge of Surya Namaskara A and B highly recommended!
Yin/Nidra: A perfect blend of release and relaxation. The first portion of the class is yin postures focused to release blocked energies and tension held in the body. The second part of the class is a full yoga nidra session to plant positive seeds of intention to manifest what you want for your life, as well as deeply rejuvenate and heal the body, mind and spirit.
Therapeutic Chair Yoga: Ideal for those suffering with chronic pain, limited mobility and/or recent surgery or injury, this class will focus on pranayama(breathwork), increasing flexibility, strengthening and relaxation. The entire class will be seated in the chair.
Sacred Sound: A delightful practice to discover your own voice and learn the sounds of Sanskrit in Vedic and other chants. No singing or prior chant experience required. This class is for anyone and everyone!
