In 2009 I walked into my first yoga class. I was in the process of many transitions in my life and was looking for anything to help me. I had lost myself somewhere along the way in this journey of life. I heard the multiple benefits of yoga and at that point I was focused solely on detoxifying my body with a physical practice. I instantly fell in love with the way it made me feel. A few years later yearning for more as continued changes came to my life, I dove deeper into the mental and spiritual practice. My life began to change significantly. I was finding who I was. I was learning to nurture areas about myself I didn’t know I had neglected. I wanted to share my love and passion for yoga. I knew the benefits first hand and the healing aspects it offers when one is open to it.
I want to encourage my students to explore areas of mindfulness. Allow the body to relax and rejuvenate through mediation and stillness. Feel all the benefits yoga has to offer physical, emotionally and spiritually.
In 2014 I completed my 200 hours in SmartFLOW teacher training. Knowing I wanted more modalities to work in my teaching I have since continued on with 100 hours certification in Nidra with Kamini Desai, Restorative training with Mary Bruce, along with multiple workshops developing my intuition. In June 2015, I will complete Reiki Level I and II with Rod Lyman, as well as Yin Yoga training with Joe Barnett.
